Established in 1928, Radio Television Hong Kong, the oldest broadcasting station in Hong Kong, is the sole public service broadcaster, provides radio, television and online broadcasting services.
In 2016, VICOSYS is assigned by RTHK to develop a mobile-friendly website for “Community Involvement Broadcast Service”. RTHK was tasked to provide a platform for the community, non-government organisations and the underprivileged to participate in broadcasting, the selected programmes will be broadcast on the Digital Audio Broadcasting channel of RTHK, to enhance community involvement.
The team has used Drupal, an open source content management system, to develop the websites for RTHK. A fully responsive layout design has been used to enable nice experience for both desktop and mobile users.
The website follows and conforms to the web accessibility requirement and best practices from the Hong Kong SAR government to make sure the website content is available for people with physically challenged.
