01 — The challengeGiving, in three steps.
Orbis is an international charity working to save sight around the world, with programmes that include its Flying Eye Hospital. Orbis Hong Kong raises funds from individual and corporate donors, and accepts donations in several currencies.
A donor should be able to give in a few minutes — monthly or once — choose the programme they want to support, and get a receipt, all in the language they prefer.
02 — What we builtFrom intent to receipt.
- Trilingual donation platform (English, Traditional and Simplified Chinese) built on Drupal.
- Three-step donation form for monthly and one-off giving, with preset and custom amounts.
- Donations in five currencies — HKD, MOP, TWD, RMB and SGD.
- Payment integration with MPGS, BOC, American Express and UnionPay, with Alipay being added next.
- Choice of donor programme: sight-saving worldwide, childhood blindness or the Flying Eye Hospital.
- Personal and corporate donor details, with the receipt for a one-off donation emailed instantly.
